Same goes for Nakai, Gor-Rok, Imrik, etc. Khalida reuses assets from the Dark Elf sorceress hero, but she doesn't exactly scream "reused unit" right?ĭeathmaster Snikch could have just been a retooled Skaven Assassin, but he has some of the most unique combat animations in the game. The thing that matters is the visuals and animations, and even with reused assets the DLC team is great at still making them look and feel unique. And even though rigs and stuff are reused in DLC content, why waste time and money making an entirely new skeleton and rig when there's one already there that would fit just fine? But a lot of it is pretty damn clever reuse, and it isn't really lazy.ĭepth Guard are a classic example, where they retooled Blood Knight assets to make an entirely different feeling unit.
Which was kind of a minor gripe of mine, but that's just cause I think the Empire animations are silly. I mean DLC team wise, not really? There is no doubt a lot of asset reuse, from stuff like Tomb King animations for skeletal units (other than Nehekara Warriors) using Empire animations. Think we missed one?
