If you don't mind working with raster-based imagery it's pretty easy to send export Illustrator artwork as something like PNG image, save it in the Creative Cloud folder and then place that image into a layer within Adobe Illustrator DRAW. Maybe I will do some research first before hopping on an iPad pro. I do hear more and more about the surface pro. Does that seem doable? and thank as well for your response. This is what I was seeking, as I have an illustrator file that has 4 mobile outlines, leaving the internal window completely blank, where I can then draw with the pencil tool, saving countless books and paper / eraser scenario's and just create layer upon layer of user flows within the mobile template I created, and how the app I'm building out should work, and then once I'm happy with the files, and flows per sections etc, I wanted to toss them back over to Illustrator to clean up and then build out in XD. While I know it's all marketing, I do like how mac work with mac.at times, but I feel for the following point below, and my need, it may work for what I'm looking to do.thoughts? And sadly, while I grew up on pc's, I have everything Mac, and to use it for just surfing and the wire framing with the pencil tool while I'm out at a coffee shop, it would save me the time and headache of bringing over countless papers that take up a table knowing I could accidentally spill on the paper and ruin everything. This is why I was trying to consider the iPad draw scenario. if I create some wireframes of iPads, mobile devices and desktops/laptop outlines, I can then import them or as you mentioned have the app Convert the AI wireframes created from Illustrator and bring them in as images into Draw, where I can use my apple pencil to draw pencil sketches on separate layers? and then export them back to Illustrator to further flush out should I require into much more high fidelity designs? prior to building them out in XD?Īny help on this would be great, as I truly just want to import or as you mentioned, bring in my wireframes I have that are of mobile, tablet and desktop outlines to proceed on creating the 3-4 screens per page to prepare some flows of the concepts on the apps I build out, while saving on paper and eraser etc.

With that said, you mentioned in your comment that one can open up a AI file in Draw, but it converts it to an image. I'm sorry this is years since it was posted, but a question.as I'm considering buying an iPad pro to create UX wireframes and site maps with the Apple Pencil, as to drawing and erasing on countless pieces of paper etc.
